Psychodiagnostic Evaluation

Dr. Green conducts a comprehensive evaluation with new clients in order to develop a thorough treatment plan in collaboration with the client. This assessment typically takes 1-3 sessions, and standard session fees apply (see below). For clients seeking a one-time evaluation (without subsequent psychotherapy), the fee for the 2.5 hour evaluation and biopsychosocial report is $400.

Psychotherapy

Dr. Green offers several forms of psychotherapy, including individual, couples, and family sessions.

Sessions and Fees: Individual therapy sessions are 55-minutes at $160 and couples/family sessions are 55-minutes at $180. Rates for longer sessions are determined on a case by case basis.

Intensive Alcohol and Drug Addiction Program of Treatment (I-ADAPT): Dr. Green has developed I-ADAPT to provide the highest quality integrated and evidence-based treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and other mental health concerns by addressing multiple domains of psychosocial functioning impacted by addiction in order to improve overall quality of life.

The structured outpatient version includes 14 sessions, which can be completed in the time frame most appropriate for the client. Each session focuses on material that is reviewed by the client before the session (~ 1 hour), and each session also has follow-up exercises for the client (~1 hour). Thus the 14 in-person sessions result in 42 hours of treatment experience. The program can be completed in 7 weeks (2 sessions per week), 14 weeks (1 session per week), or 28 weeks (1 session every other week). This program has been approved by some courts to fill the requirements for individuals charged with substance-related offenses. Standard session fees apply to I-ADAPT clients ($150 per session).

Types of Therapies and Special Topics

Dr. Green specializes in evidence-based therapies including cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and motivational therapy.

Recovery Skills Training and Relapse Prevention

I therapy that focuses on cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and motivational skills that are important to recovery efforts and relapse prevention. There is a focus on addiction recovery, but this type of therapy could benefit anyone with a history of mental health problems as well.

Relationships in Recovery

I have developed an innovative therapy to help individuals in recovery for addiction improve their relationships and interpersonal skills. Relationships in Recovery helps clients explore the interactions between their relationships and their addiction so that they can rebuild healthy relationships and utilize social support in their recovery efforts. Dr. Green is currently preparing a Relationships in Recovery self-help book for publication, and offers a Relationships in Recovery therapy in individual, couples, or family therapy formats.

CRAFT for Loved Ones

Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps families/friends to support their loved one's recovery while protecting their own well-being. CRAFT is an effective alternative to confrontational "interventions" and Al-Anon, and many families find CRAFT is a better fit for their goals to repair, rebuild, or improve their relationships with loved ones who are struggling with addiction. CRAFT is non-confrontational and focuses on facilitating treatment engagement and sobriety in healthy and supportive ways rather than detaching from the person.
